Conclusion

I started phenomenologizing about my career choice but ended up praying. What happened? Recall me as a catholic who cannot bracket out my faith because it is a fundamental part of my being. It is also not helpful if we go on the other side of the linear equation, positing there is no God, and do phenomenologizing atheistically. We have lots of proof you can review why it isn't the road we took for such things as personal as my life career choice. We didn't focus on proving the existence of God though. There are lots of better proofs out there. We merely focused on doing phenomenology and my chosen topic, which is my career choices. If I phenomenologized during the boom of television, my career would also reflect on its effect. But I reflected today wherewith AI is affecting how I work. I used AI to simplify my complex ideas about my own career choices, which is like using a calculator to help me understand and situate those things that are bothering me about my career. Like ve...

What do you want me to do, my Lord?

If all else fails, a direct question is the easiest. Recall the meaning of prayer is to talk to God, and ask him that question rather. It's as simple as that. It's not "What should I do, Lord?" question either, a sort of christian ethical dillema. It's a question that is personalized with all of your individual circumstances, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities where you fail to come up with a solid decision in life not because you're confused with ethical principles but because the situations are so novel. Like nobody knows what job in the future AI opportunities will create. Of course God can understand all the wordings of our simple prayer. It's just that the prayer is much bigger than ignorance of christian ethics. Although if it is really a kind of need already for discernment, the question what should I do must take up the process of discernment without further ado.  I know what I want. But somehow I long for God's love of what he rather wa...

The Heliotropium

It's a book title I was fascinated about before. It's also a classic spiritual reading. I don't know why I'm fascinated with man's will conforming with God's will. Maybe because I see it before as the easiest hacks to becoming holy, finding peace with oneself, with the world, and with God. It's main gist is this: We must conform our will to the will of God in all things, sin excepted. Let's phenomenologically reflect on the phrase "in all things". Sa lahat ng bagay pwera sa kasalanan, dapat pareho ang kalooban ko sa kalooban ng Dyos. Parang walang nangyayari sa buhay ko, so be it. Parang walang direksiyon pa rin ang buhay ko, so be it. May kasalanan ba akong ginagawa kaya nangyayari iyan? Napakarami bukod pa sa mga kahinaan ko. Paano ko ngayon sasabihin so be it kung epekto pala iyon ng mga kasalanan ko? Dapat ay Lord have mercy, di ba? Ok, ok! Kung alam ko daw na kasalanan ko, malinaw na malinaw, kasalanan iyon at di kalooban ng Dyos.  Repent...

All Religion Is Imperfect Too

Image
We've said before that all systems be it philosophical or governmental is imperfect. Now we dare say that even all religions are imperfect too. What happened to the Catholic church founded by Jesus Christ then? My friend, it is still the church founded by Jesus Christ, our Lord, but it is comprised of human beings. That's why we call it both human and divine. And the church has always asked for forgiveness for all its members' offenses and sin. Me as a sinful church member though continuously trying to become holy has benefited from its authoritative interpretation of the Bible. I don't know how I will live up if there is no such a thing, as most interpretations are varied among christian communities. I benefited from its official stand against the world's contraception, abortion, euthanasia, human right's violation, same-sex marriage, etc. My conviction is solid since Jesus himself said that he will be with his church even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28...
