War, disease, etc. is still a daily event despite advances in all fields. And Hitler thought about the things he did as the one that can save humanity. So is Marx philosophy reflected in so many human and governmental plans until now. Those were just recent major turning points in world history. There were still so many in the distant past like the Aztec's human sacrifices. But God's version of saving the world is through his son becoming a human being through our Lord Jesus Christ.
